BoardStar envisions strong nonprofit organizations governed by diverse, passionate, and resourceful leaders.
BoardStar enables nonprofit Board Directors to overcome challenges through training, consultation, podcasts, networking, and access to resources.
BoardStar offers workshops, clinics, custom training sessions, and presentations to increase organizational effectiveness through leadership development. Local consultants are trained and engaged, sending additional knowledge through the nonprofit community.
BoardStar's galaxy of programs and services is designed to strengthen the common denominator at the very heart of every nonprofit organization: the Board of Directors.

Bob and Mary Unkel
Interim Directors
Bob and Mary Unkel, of Unkel Management & Marketing Solutions, LLC have been retained as BoardStar's transition management team. Bob will assume the lead managemment role, working with the staff and Board to transition operations.
Claire Van Fossen
Education Specialist
Claire Van Fossen is a Public Ally serving with BoardStar for 10 months. She has 2 years post-graduate experience in Milwaukee's nonprofit sector. She is a results-oriented multicultural leader deeply committed to social justice with extensive experience in community education and social entrepreneurship. She received her BA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2010.
